The highest point of our trek is Tengboche. We start our walk from Namche Bazaar and follow the Dudh Koshi river while admiring the stunning mountain scenery. To reach the Dudh Koshi river, the route lowers. To get to Tengboche village, we cross a suspension bridge and continue walking through luxuriant rhododendron and pine forests.
Tengboche monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, is located in this town. We go to the abbey. The monks can be seen meditating and praying. Fantastic views of Mount Ama Dablam may be had from the monastery. Overnight at Lodge in Tengboche (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
We go return to Namche Bazaar today by taking the same route. Through dense trees, we make our way to the Dudh Koshi river. We cross the river and make our way up to Namche Bazaar. We might encounter wildlife along the journey, including musk deer, pheasants, and mountain goats. Overnight at Lodge in Namche Bazaar (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Descend through the village of Phunki Tenga, where we can stop for tea or lunch. We will continue our descent alongside the Dudh Koshi River, passing through forests and crossing suspension bridges. After a few hours of trekking, we'll reach Phakding where we spent our night on our way up to Namche at the trek begining. We can have lunch or take a short break here. Then we will continue trek towards Lukla, crossing the Dudh Koshi River several times via suspension bridges. As we approach Lukla, we'll pass through Cheplung and Chaurikharka villages.
