Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take this day to rest or explore the city on your own. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur, sightseeing & drive to Nagarkot (2175m)
Depart from Kathmandu and embark on a scenic drive to Bhaktapur. Visit Durbar Square in Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich cultural heritage and well-preserved medieval architecture. Explore the intricately carved temples, palaces, and courtyards dating back to the Malla period. Other attractions include 55-Window Palace, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairabnath Temple, and the Golden Gate.
After exploring Bhaktapur, continue your journey towards Nagarkot, a picturesque hill station renowned for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside, passing terraced fields, traditional villages, and lush forests. Overnight at Hotel in Nagarkot (Breakfast)
Day 03: Everest Helicopter tour & back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning drive to Kathmandu. Check in the airport and begin a little paperwork (don’t forget your passport) and measuring your weight. After the weather is good to go you board the helicopter and fly to Everest region stopping first at a small airstrip (Tenzing Hillary Airport) in Lukla. The fun begins after you take off from Lukla airport and fly to the Everest Base Camp past the EBC trek trail. Your helicopter captain points out all the mountains that come into view such as Cho-Oye, AmaDablam etc. Fly past Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Glacier.
After Everest Base Camp fly to Kala Patthar and land which will be around 10-15 minutes as the helicopter can’t stay much longer at the higher altitude. Mt. Everest is seen much closer from Kala Patthar including other world’s highest peaks. After some photographic opportunities fly to Hotel Everest View for breakfast. Enjoy the morning with a good breakfast at the hotel observing Mt. Everest at a distance and the Khumbu Valley. Then fly back to Kathmandu one more time stopping at Lukla for refueling and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu (Breakfast)
Day 04: In Kathmandu - sightseeing
After breakfast, begin Kathmandu sightseeing with your first stop is Patan Durbar Square with it’s intricately carved temples, palaces, and courtyards that reflect the Newari architecture and craftsmanship.
Next, proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
You will observe devotees performing rituals and prayers along the banks of the Bagmati River, which flows beside the temple.
After Pashupatinath, head to Boudhanath, one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Take a leisurely stroll around the stupa, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere and observing pilgrims performing kora (circumambulation) around it.
Your final stop for the day is Swayambhunath, another iconic Buddhist stupa situated atop a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Explore the temple complex, which includes various shrines, monasteries, and statues, as well as resident monkeys roaming freely. Then back to hotel in Kathmandu. Day 05: Final Departure
The trip concludes and our office representatives will take you to the international airport in Kathmandu to catch your onward flight to your next destination or fly back home. You need to be at least 3 hours before your flight time at the airport.
