Description

"Trekking Bhutan's Timeless Trail"

One of the most well-known treks in Bhutan is the Druk Path Trek, which begins in Paro and ends in Thimphu. This walk allows hikers to see the daily lives of the Bhutanese people while also providing wonderful views of the snow-capped peaks, lush green valleys, pristine forest with a chance to see wildlife, temples, monasteries, and fortresses.

The trekking route passes through less populated areas of Bhutan and includes camping along the way. The first day of the vacation starts with a flight into Paro, followed by a tour of the city and a visit to Taktsang Monastery, also known as the "Tiger's Nest," which is positioned on a hill. On the third day, the short journey begins that connects Thimphu with Paro by traversing the range of mountains that separates the two valleys. The area is well known for its stunning rhododendron forests, which blossom in May, and the trekking trail rewards you with lovely lakes brimming with fish.

In clear weather in late fall and winter, panoramic vistas of the snow-capped mountains can be seen. The trail finally arrives in the verdant valley of Thimphu as the expedition draws to a close. Bhutan's capital, Thimphu, is a small town that is renowned for not having any traffic lights. Drive back to Paro for the trip home after doing a quick city tour of Thimphu. The Druk Path Trek will leave you with fond recollections.
