Today, you'll embark on a journey to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Kathmandu. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere of this captivating city. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath ‘Monkey Temple’, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Afterward back to hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
After breakfast Begin your picturesque drive to Pokhara, a journey that offers breathtaking views of terraced fields, rivers, and charming villages. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check-in hotel and the rest of the time is free to explore. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.
In the wee hours of the morning, take a quick 15-minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. After a pleasant three-hour walk, you will arrive at Kagbeni village. This charming village boasts the presence of ancient monasteries and traditional Tibetan-style houses. Spend the late afternoon exploring the beautiful surroundings before settling in for an overnight. Overnight at Camp in Jomsom.
We will trace the path along the bank of Kaligandaki, passing through the villages of Tangbe and Chungsang. Our journey will continue until we find a bridge over Kaligandaki, after which we will make a steep ascent for approximately 35 minutes to reach Chele Village. Our accommodation for the night will be at Tsaile in tented camp. Overnight at Camp in Tsaile.
We traverse numerous mountain passes including Taklam La (at an elevation of 3240m), Baga La, Yemdo Pass (peaking at 4000m), and Dzong La (reaching 3550m). Soon, you will marvel at the captivating villages of Samar, Yemdo, and Bhona as you continue your journey. Along the route, we take respite beside refreshing streams and amidst fragrant juniper trees. Additionally, we will come across the renowned Ramchung Cave. Overnight at Camp in Syangmochen.
As we continue on our journey, we come across a couple of tea houses before reaching Yamda La pass (3,850m). Along the way, we pass by beautiful chortens and local villages that remind us of Tibetan-style houses with open verandas. Our path takes us across mountain passes and through an enchanting avenue lined with poplar trees and fields of barley. The ascent to Nyi Pass (4,010m) will require a bit more time and effort. Eventually, we make our way down to our overnight stop at Ghaymi, which happens to be the third largest village in the Lo region. Overnight at Camp in Ghaymi.
Today's trek offers breathtaking vistas of the landscape, with the gentle bend of the northern region and the rugged mountain gorge stretching from east to west. Charang is a sizable village inhabited by the people of Lo, who are originally from Tibet. The nearby Gompa and ancient monastery, believed to be approximately 500 years old, are adorned with exquisite religious murals, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Overnight at Camp in Charang.
Today, we venture into the capital region of Upper Mustang. While trekking towards Lo-Mangthang, we are greeted with a breathtaking sight of the majestic Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I, and Bhrikuti peaks. Lo-Manthang itself is a charming little village, enclosed by sturdy walls that shield it from strong winds. This village stands as a connection to the Tibetan. Overnight at Camp in Lo-Mangthang.
Today explore the local community, make sure to visit Namgyal Gompa and Tingkhar, two significant monasteries. Additionally, take the opportunity to visit the Raja Palace of Lo - Manthang. The trekking trail gradually ascends two small passes before descending through a breathtaking canyon towards Dhi village. Once we leave Dhi, we proceed alongside the riverbed until we reach Yara and Luri Gompa. Luri Gompa is a cave monastery from the 13th century that diligently preserves exceptional Pala style paintings featuring Buddhist culture and tradition. Overnight at Camp in Yara.
We will be exploring the beautiful Luri Monastery and traversing a high pass that stands 5100 meters high. Once we have crossed the pass, our path will lead us down to Ghuma Thanti where we will encounter several charming small monasteries along the way. Since we are unable to find a suitable spot to cook our lunch, we have decided to bring packed lunches from our morning camp. This journey will require approximately 7 hours of walking. Today, we embarked on a lengthy journey by foot, encountering numerous challenges along the way. To ensure our sustenance, we diligently prepared and brought packed lunches, as well as an ample supply of refreshing drinking water for the day. Our path led us across a daunting 5600 meter high pass, ultimately leading us to our destination: Damodar Kunda - The Holy Lake. Today, we will be returning along the same path we trekked before, crossing a high pass at an elevation of 5600 meters. This time, it will take us 2 hours less than our previous walk on this route. The decrease in uphill terrain and the longer downhill stretches have allowed us to reduce our total walking time by 2 hours today. Overnight at Camp in Ghuma Thanti.
Today from Ghuma Thanti, return to Yara via the same route. The majority of the hiking trail descends all the way. On the route, we also pass a 5100-meter-high pass. Overnight at Camp in Yara.
Early in the morning, we get ready to start our walk. Pack a lunch for today's journey. There are many ups and downs on the long hike. cross the Damodar Kunda-originating Dechhyang Khola (River). Tange is located in the expansive plateau valley of Mustang, surrounded by numerous monument chorten. Overnight at Camp in Tange.
We are getting ready to leave on our walk this morning as well. It is a long hike with both uphill and downhill sections as well as numerous tiny passes. Usually, we follow our course until we reach our lunch stop. Following lunch, proceed all the way to Tetang village. Today's brisk wind may make walking a little challenging. Overnight at Camp in Tetang.
The first portion of our hike is continued uphill till a minor pass, after which we enter a wild valley and pass through several nearby settlements. It's interesting to see the Mani barriers between the prayer wheels inside and the pedestrian walkway. When we get to Muktinath, we visit the temple, the 108 holy taps surrounding it, Jwalamukhi, and the monastery close to the hotel's sides. Overnight at Camp in Muktinath.
Today, make the long trek down to Jomsom. We pass several typical villages along the journey, including Jharkot, Kagbeni, and Eklobhatti. Oldest monasteries, Tibetan-style homes, and a stunning vista of the Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range may all be found here. Arrive at Jomsom, then spend the night in a neighborhood guesthouse. After breakfast, we fly back to Pokhara, which takes roughly 20 minutes, and then we move to the hotel in Pokhara. We explore the valley and its surroundings after lunch. Spend the night in Pokhara hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.
Begin your scenic drive back to Kathmandu tracing the same route which you drove earlier to get to Pokhara from Kathmandu traversing through the picturesque landscapes. Any Experience Required?

Difficulties
Difficulty here is actually synonymous to ‘high altitude’. As this trek involves some seriously high altitude climbing above 5000 meters, one is likely to experience some problem in breathing owing to the deteriorating oxygen level.
