Everest Region

Mount Everest has always attract lots of professional climbers and mountaineers since it is the highest mountain in the world. Every Year the visitors from different part of the world visit Nepal for Trekking purpose. Everest Region boasts the world highest mountain like Everest,Nuptse, Lhotse, Aba Dablam and many more.
Sagarmatha is the Nepalese name for Everest. The National Park is located in eastern Nepal and it contains parts of the Himalayas and the southern half of Mount Everest . The park was created in July 19, 1976 and in 1979 it was inscribed as a Natural World Heritage Site. Sagarmatha's actual name in Sanscrit is "Sagar = sky (not to be confused with sea/ocean) and matha = forehead or head" and is the modern Nepali name for Mount Everest. In these region the inhabitants are the Sherpa's and at every village you will be extended with typical Sherpa Hospitality. The journey in Everest Region were always been wonderful, it feels like you are in the lap of the Himalayas where you could find something unique in every step you take like the Yeti Skull, the hands at Pangboche and other excitings sites.
The original route taken on the first ascent of Everest was from Jiri. The approach to this region usually begins with a breathtaking flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip (2,800 meters). If you decide against the flight then it will mean a trek in from Jiri, this will take about seven to eight days walking. But the main treks routes always begin to and fro from Kathmandu itself.
