The Cultural Heritage tour package that Marron Trek is offering enables you to feel the essence of the cultural marvels of Nepal starting from the world heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley and its neighboring areas and then off to the great jungle retreat of the Royal Chitwan National Park.The tour takes you through the crowded streets of Kathmandu to the open spaces of the Chitwan forest which is a drastic variation. You cannot help but notice that the indigenous culture and tradition of the Nepalese people is well preserved whether they stay in the jungles of Chitwan or in the concrete jungles of Kathmandu.

The final day of the tour treats you to a rejuvenating day among beautiful mountain views in Dhulikhel.

 

OUTLINE ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Sightseeing.

Day 03: Kathmandu and Patan Sightseeing.

Day 04: Drive to Chitwan.

Day 05: Chitwan Activities.

Day 06: Drive to Dhulikhel.

Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 08: Final departure.

 


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
On this day, once you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be picked up from airport by the Marron Treks representative and you will be transferred to hotel. There you can stay your overnight.
 
Day 02: Guided city tour of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur
Today you will be having a tour around the cities of Kathmandu. The famous temples of Pashupatinath, Boudanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are visited on this day. The antique Durbars of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur still have charms of the olden days. After your tour, you will be dropped back to hotel where you can spend your night.
 
Day 03: Guided city tour of Kathmandu and PatanPatan
Patan Durbar square has its own charm. Be it in the Durbar square of Patan or the museums, or around the ancient ponds, the views can be extraordinary, so this day is dedicated for the tour to the ancient city of Patan and after being there, we will be going to Swoyambhunath (monkey temple). In the evening you will be having a free time. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 04: Drive to Royal Chitwan National Park
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, today we will be going to Roayal Chitwan National Park, a place of tranquility compared to that of the life in Kathmandu. It is around 5 hours drive from Kathmandu to reach Chitwan. There you will be taken to a hotel and have a brief information session about the activities that you will be taking part on. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 05: Tour of the Royal Chitwan National Parkchitwan national park
Into the nature today!! You will be having a good time with elephant jungle safari, jungle walk, canoe ride. After your tiring day in the jungle, in the evening you will find yourself enjoying Tharu cultural dance program. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 06: Drive to Dhulikhel
You will be driving back to Kathmandu today. After your return to Kathmandu, you will be going to Dhulikhel. The evening in Dhulikhel will be spent relaxing amidst magnificent views of the Himalayan ranges. Overnight in hotel.
 
Day 07: Sunrise view from Dhulikhel. An early bird catches the prey!!!But don’t worry, it is not for catching the prey that you will be rising today, but you will be rising to view the rising sun. After watching the panaromic view of rising sun, you will be driving back to Kathmandu. The day time is free for you, you can buy some gifts for your family and friends and pack your luggage.
 
Day 08: Departure
Bida hune vai gayo bela feri veta hola ki nahola…(It’s time to say good bye, will we be meeting again or not!!!) It is a typical nepali folk song and like the song suggests, cherishing the moments spent in Kathmandu, you will be departing on this day. Or If time permits, you can extend your trip on various excursion. Marron trek is as always ready to help you.

Accommodation:
During Cultural Heritage Tour of Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, Chitwan and Dhulikhel we opt you accomodate on 3 star or 5 star hotels like Hotel Royal Singhi (3 star),  Hotel Manaslu (3 star), Radisson (5 star), Yak & Yeti (5 star)  or similar in Kathmandu City. In Chitwan we accomodate you in Tigerland Safari Resort or Safari Narayani Hotel or similar.
 
Meals:
We arrange the best quality food for all visitors. We could arrange Continental, Chinese, Italian and Indian cuisine like Pizza, Spaghetti, French Fries, Soups, Breads etc based upon your requirement.But it would be great if you  prefer  to use the local foods that would help you to interact with the local peoples and to know the rich cultural heritage of Nepal.

The equipments and clothing list below is for a relatively longer trek involving a cold high altitude destination in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. If you are doing a short trek to a relatively lower altitude you may not need all these. The list below is for a guideline alone, you may have your own check list as well. Duffle Bag and a good sleeping bag will by provided by Marron Treks P.Ltd, which you should return after completion of your trip.
